About Almeta Lennon

Almeta Lennon

Hi there. I'm an Australian artist who is just loving putting paint/pastel to canvas. I began my 'creative career' back in 1980 when I fell in love with painting on porcelain. I ended up teaching that for eight years before finally selling my kiln and looking to other things. Fabric art came next and in typical '80s style, I slapped paint on t-shirts and sold them to all and sundry - with a particular emphasis towards the late '80s on Australian native fauna and flora due to our bicentenary year in 1988. My next passion - how fickle am I - became water colours and I enjoyed producing flowers and Australian bush landscapes on paper for the next few years. Then the dearth!
